The story of cuisinière, or kitchen ranges, would not be complete without mentioning a small, family-owned company in the rural village of Lacanche, France. For it is here, in the Côte d’Or district of Burgundy, that some of the world’s premiere kitchen ranges have been designed and hand-crafted for more than two centuries.
French performance ranges have been the passion of Art Culinaire staff since 1990. We are self-described students and wannabes of French gastronomy, defined by many dictionaries as "the art or science of good eating".
